Who am I?
I'm a writer and a student living in Los Angeles, California. I'm quite interested in Politics, but almost exclusively from an observational, educational standpoint. Essentially, I like to observe from a distance. I like to look at the right and look at the left and comment on the benefits and fallacies of both viewpoints.
If I had to name a political affiliation I would say I fall closest to Libertarian. I believe in a small government that would allow the greatest amount of individual freedom. I believe that the government should keeps it's nose out of business and let the free market decide who stays and who goes. I am not a big fan of communism or socialism, although I can see the theoretical benefits of systems like that.
I took the name for my blog from the novel "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card. In the story two precocious children adopt the personae of the famous philosophers and oraters Demosthenes and John Locke to publish political commentary on the internet. I thought it only fitting that I do the same.
I promise to not be intentionally inflammatory. I am not in the market to insult my readers for their tennets or for their intelligence, education or misconceptions. However, some of you may not agree with a lot of what I write. You may disagree to a point of anger and frustration. I hope that - if that happens to be the case - we could have a pleasant and intellectual discourse while respecting each other's viewpoints, instead of an aggressive, profanity-laced argument.
